Praise be to Saints…

March 17th, 2008

Well, we were able to both celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and mourn all in one night. Rod always said he liked Harp so I couldn’t deny him one (or was it two) last pleasures and some Bushmills to assist.

Harps and Bushmills

Baby had a hot dog, fries, and pickle. Mommy had a portabello mushroom sandwich. Daddy had a beer brat with homemade potato chips and a pickle!

Where do I start!

Several bad things happened in the past couple of days. Friday night, downtown Atlanta was hit by a tornado. View the damage here. Saturday morning, Lily busted open the lining that connects her upper gums to her upper lip. Katherine had to rush her to the hospital since she was bleeding a lot.  She seems to be OK now although her breath is stinky so there may be a bacterial infection happening. She’s going to the doctors’ office this afternoon for a follow up visit. I worked 5 hours Saturday morning and early afternoon so I wasn’t around for Lily’s pain and suffering. Then, Sunday night, Rod Godfrey, a guy I regularly went to lunch with at work was killed along with his older son in a head-on collision. His wife and younger son had sustained injuries. Hernandez, the driver of the other vehicle was going the wrong way on the interstate when the two cars collided.

Digital Camera Issues

Lily In Crib

As you can tell, my 5+ year old no name digital camera ($30) really blows. It’s almost a shame taking a picture of Lily (16 months) with such a crappy device. I also tried to take a picture of something I was going to sell on eBay but ended up using Katherine’s Canon PowerShot ($125). I’ve decided to literally tear the old junk camera apart and throw it away to make sure no one else would suffer as I have. For now I’ll get by with the PowerShot until I can score a good deal online somewhere.

Worked yet another Saturday.

Put in a quick 7 hours at the j.o.b. today. We’re re-doing our server room so that’s why I’ve had to work Saturdays these past few months. Came home, made a fire since it’s only in the upper 30s today. My auction is actually doing better than expected. I should really sell more of my relics. Katherine and Lily are running around the living room playing. The dogs are happy enough. Better get back to tending to the fire, and refilling my glass o’ Bass.
