I guess I’ve been slacking off the past month with the posts. We’ve done a bunch, but I didn’t want to make you go to sleep just with writing. We’ve done a bunch and HAVE taken pictures but it’s not my camera and the little one keeps the big one busy so I can’t always get the files when I would like. Anyways, since last writing, we’ve gone to the Inman Park Festival and had some fun walking around intown Atlanta for a couple of hours. We even bought a little $5 oven mitt holder that mounts on the wall from some French speaking guy. Note to self – don’t buy the Polish Sausage sandwiches from the food vendors – they have some kind of crazy herbs in them – totally unacceptable! We’ve also gone fishing back at Dockery Lake. I didn’t catch a thing. I think I’m going to give in to my wife’s father’s method of utilizing a Carolina Rig. We’ve eaten one Sunday lunch at an Indian buffet which was pretty good, although for some reason or another, I completely threw up when we got back to the car in the parking lot just feet away from the restaurant. Wasn’t worth $12.50 or something to barf it all up. I must have put too many different things on my plate. We also had a chance to get up to Helen, GA via a Bonsai Store one Saturday afternoon. Katherine had some work to do on one of her Bonsai’s so we went there and said why not just go to Helen since it’s 30 minutes away! Again, pictures will come soon. Hell, I may as well start an album just for this blog. Oh, and by the way, to make sure we don’t get into any more picture troubles, I bought a Chinese MP4 (yes, that’s one better than MP3) player direct from Hong Kong. It cost a total of US $67.99 and it can play MP3 audio, MP4 video (320×240), take 1.3 Megapixel pictures, take 320×240 videos, play FM stations, record FM stations, record voice, show pictures, dang, the list goes on! My main purpose of getting one was so that I can play back 45-60 minutes episodes of CBS Radio Mystery Theater when we’re camping or taking a car-car (baby talk) trip. But the luxury of having SpongeBob shows on this little baby is more than enough reason y’all should get one. E-mail me on the details! Well, I gotta try to beat some pictures out of Katherine so you guys be cool!
No, I’m haven’t been in jail!
May 22nd, 2008Week in review
April 14th, 2008Below is the picture of our latest little fisherperson to join the groggy clan.
As for today, the internet connection was down thanks to our Netgear router that is only two or so months old. I had to unplug the dang thing from the power outlet and plug it back in before we were able to get back online. Seems like the 2nd time something like this has happened. So if you tried to check out the blog and it wasn’t connecting, blame it on NetGear. We went to the Georgia Renaissance Festival that’s located just south of the ATL this past Saturday. We’ve gone there last year with the baby and it was decent so we decided to go back this year and bring some friends. I’ll have some pictures up in the next post. We spent yesterday just watching TV and ordering in Chinese food. As for me, it’s back to work bright and chipper this Monday morning. It’s evening now and all is well. Blog at ya later!
Happy Birthday to me!
April 7th, 2008Well, another year since my last birthday has come and gone. I am 39 today! Wow. One year closer to the big 4 0. We’re gonna celebrate it this Saturday at Katherine’s parents’ house. We went fishing yesterday since the weather was bad the Sunday prior. I caught a trout but she came off the hook after I pulled her out of the water. Katherine caught 2. I was using red wigglers. She was using PowerBait. I’ll have a picture of Lily on the dock holding my fishing pole in a post or two.
And along comes Friday!
March 28th, 2008Well, thankfully Friday has arrived. The week could have been better (at least for my wallet).
Volvo (1989 Volvo Station Wagon) got sick. We had to take her to the Volvo Service Center to get checked out. Well, $1200.00!!! later she’s back on the road. Over $800.00 in parts alone!
Note to self, don’t buy foreign vehicles (no matter what the intial price) or at least find a repair shop that understands a workingman’s budget. I’m raising a baby and feeding a mommy on a single income.
It’s got to be certainly the start of a good weekend since the week was kinda rough. For dinner tonight you will find that, yes indeed, Lily Likes Spaghetti a bunch! We’re all going (including Katherine’s father) fishing Sunday at Dockery Lake in the North Georgia Mountains. For Sunday, the high is looking around the mid-50s with cloudy skies. That should be just find to swarm those trout and any catfish that may come along. I purchased my fishing license online today (yes, with a trout stamp). Now that we bought a $100 deep freezer (from Home Depot a year or so ago), we have ample room for killings of all sorts!
Happy Easter!
March 24th, 2008To celebrate Easter, Katherine, Lily, and I went to Gimza Polish Restaurant in Norcross, GA. We had cutlets, croquettes, pierogies, potato puree, mizeria, poppy seed cake and honey cake. It was tasty indeed. Saturday we went over to Katherine’s sister’s house and met up with everyone for a BBQ which consisted of chicken and shrimp as the main course. Yes, it was a weekend of feasting.
